It was just sort of randomly that I happened to stumble across this website. I was unaware that lucid dreaming was an ability people wanted. I don't know if I have the correct impression of what it is exactly but I have a few questions about my personal experiences with what I believe is it. As far back as I can remember I have been able to either wake up or change my dreams when things are not going the way I want them to. I don't know how, but it's always obvious that I am dreaming whenever I do dream. When I was younger, I used to only wake up mentally and be unable to move my body for the first few seconds I was concious, is that common? Most of my dreams are of sort of a dissembodied me floating above being in third person, watching an actual me in the flesh doing things. My dreams are hardly ever in third person is that normal? I have also had an experience where I woke up screaming about an event that was happening and later that day it really did happen. The weird part was that the event was a completely random thing that no one would have known about and didn't even pertain to me. Has this happened to anyone else? Please help me sort this out. |
