Reread what Oneironaught said up there - then go read his dream journal.

That should pretty much put answer your questions!

      **edit**

      His journal is here.

      **re-edit*

Then go read THIS Oneironaut's journal!

Wow... I've been trying to become lucid in my dreams, but lately, I can hardly remember my dreams at all. The most I could remember from last night's dream was that I achieved everything that I wanted. Getting a girlfriend, A+ report card, etc. But, I could only remember little snippets. Like, seeing my report card number (98). Even that, though was blurry as if I was looking at a 12 year old computer screen. I've started to keep a dream journal and will see tonight if I can remember my dream, let alone control them.

EDIT: So where do I start? Any advice at all would be appreciated.

A DJ is a super way to improve dream recall and work on recognizing dreamsigns to attain lucidity.

If you can remember to do it, try to recall your dreams immediately when you wake. Try to think through them and reconstruct them before you even move. Take notes as soon as you do move, even if it is just little reminders. Keeping a pad by your bed for if you wake during the night is very helpful. Developing recall is key to everything... what good is a lucid if you don't remember it?

The tutorials section here is (usually) excellent, though it's a bit buggered up right now. It's still well worth reading through.

Dreams can anr are often very, very vivid. This is a large part due to the fact that your brain has a hard time distinguishing between reality and a dream. So, when you do something exiting in a dream, your body reacts accordingly.

I had a dream last night. This was only bout 45% lucid. (ahhh, I love the system already! =D) It ended up that I was in a small stone building which was right beside a rocket taking off. I was in there with a few other people I knew. Pretty much, we couldn't get away from the ricket in time so we had to seek shelter in there.

Anyways, there were thankfully no doors that exited towards the rocket (otherwise it would have blown in and we would have all been decimated. Yknow, I think we actually came in a door that faced the rocket but I ended up omiting it to make the dream work.) Anyways, were all holding the other doors as it started up. I remember this terrible noise as it started up. It filled your body and sapped the strength right out of your limbs. Next came the "earthquake" The whole house shook and peices of the ceiling came crashing down. I was on my knees in seconds. Now leaning on the door for support rather then trying to keep it closed. Pretty soon most of the doors blew in and hot smokky air blew past and burned us. I remember having to hide my face because having the heat on it was unbearable. Then it was all over and I lay there panting thinking.... holy hell.... that was intense.... I woke up pretty quickly after that only to find my real body was in a similar state of shock! All my limbs felt like jelly and I had no strength left anywhere. It seems my body reacted as it would normally.

So to answer your question, yes.

Be warned though, I am a natural LDer and a quite developed one at that. Don't expect your first dream to be like that. XD

I'm using a program that promises to make people experience LD within the week that they use it. "Infinity" I think it is.

Oops... I thought I had yours and Orionaut's. There are too many of you, there are.

      Heh.

Guess I'll take my own advice and go read your DJ!
