Lucid Sex or Lucid Flying?

I had the receptionist at the gym scan my Bally's card and I starting walking toward the locker room. An asian lady who I didn't recognize walked up to me with a cell phone flipped up. She seemed to be implying the call was for me. I asked her who it was, ,who she was and why she thought it was for me? She didn't seem to speak english so I just sort of waved her away to indicate my lack of interest. As she started to walk away the situation struck me as unreasonable and I realized I was dreaming. My first thought was "I better answer the phone, it might be insightful". As I started to jog toward her to catch up, I noticed she had a nice butt. I then turned my goal away from answering the phone, and in another direction (I'll leave it to the readers imagination as this is not Penthouse Forum). Low and behold, the second I had reset my intentions to more of a sexual direction - I woke up. Makes sense that my lucid dreams wouldn't cooperate with me in this regard either! With that said ... I'm at a point where I have experienced all the basic goals. Passed through solid object, had insightful conversations w/ Dream characters, levitated objects, etc ... So I turn my attention to sex and flying. A question to those who have come before me. Which is easier? I guess this depends on the person of course. On one hand - I have a basis for what sex is like and it would seem easy for my brain to work with something familiar. On the other hand - I think it must be hard to control the excitement level and maintain stability of the LD. So what have people found easier and why?

Yeah, I have this problem. Flying is realy easy for me but whenever I try anyting of a sexual nature it always results in a false awakening. In fact i'm going to post this on the research forum right now. Why not try both at the same time?

Flying is fairly simple if you truly believe you can do it, lucid sex is easy but try not to get too into it unless you keep yourself aware, the pleasure may distract your mind and you may have a false awakening or drift back into the dream.

For me, flying was easier when I first started getting lucid, since my lucids often envolve me getting to high places quickly. Also with flying you don't have to do as much work, lol. when I fly I normaly just will myself to do it, at least in the begining of my dream. With sex and other high active things, one slip of concentration (like me thinking, "ooh after this I'll... and then I'll...") can result in me forgetting what I was doing (no pun intended) or worse, my LD slipping away, and me waking up. You'll have to be focussed on having sex the whole time if you want to have sex. that sounded very weird after reading it.

Well I don't know how old you are but personally lucid sex isn't all that appealing to me. Really, its what I did as a horny adolescent before I even had a name for lucid dreaming. All I knew was "Hey I think I'm dreaming, I can bang the first chick I find!" I've been flying since I was a wee lad as well, but its past the test of time since it is much more exhilarating and beyond what I can do while I'm awake. Also it serves practical purposes, as flying is much faster than walking, and yet more scenic than teleportation.

I find that overall flying lucids are easier to prolong, they also give you a feeling you can't get in real life... and although mental masturbation never hurt anyone you pretty much know exactly what you're gonna get as far as the scenery goes (not that thats always a bad thing). I think the benefits of being adept at flying in your dreams outweighs prolonging lucid sex.... thats my take on it .

Since we're on the topic of lucid sex. I have a question I've been meaning to ask for a while. Whenever I have a lucid dream and I go to have lucid sex, I wake up. After a couple failed attempts, I accepted it, and saved it until what I felt was the end of each dream. Since every one of my past lucid dreams have been relatively long, do you think it would make lucid sex easier if I attempted it at the beginning of the dream, rather than the end? Should I wait until I feel I'm most grounded I'm going to be in my dreamworld?

Since I have to work so hard at becoming lucid. Every time I end up useing it for sex, I feel like I had wasted valuable Lucid time. When the time could be better spent, learning more about the dream world. So I normaly try to avoid it. But every now and then, I give in to it. And I wake up thinking, shit I wasted that one.

Useful replies everyone, thanks. To answer a previous question above - I'm pushing 40 and I've had plenty of sex. When you've been married for a while - it gets a little old. I wouldn't cheat on my wife in my wakeful reality, but in my lucid dreams? I guess this raises another practical question - is lucid dream sex with someone other than your boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse cheating? I'll bet peoples opinions are highly correlated to their gender. Anyway - flying it is!

I suppose a similar question could be is masturbation cheating if you think about someone other than your other half? My opinion is that it isn't, but i can see why some would feel guilty about it, especially if its someone you know (her best friend for instance, dont think that would go down too well... make her very happy ).. I think its better to seperate the rules of society from our internal and much more free dream playground. Why restrict the mind. I say go forth and dream copulate!

funny thing this i find flying easier but am not to fond of it i only use it if its needed but on the sex side of thing i have had a little bit of trouble as marvo and obsidion has put on my thread but ya apart from that lucid sex from life (doesnt beat the real thing)

I had an ironic experience last night. Last thing I did before going to bed was had some sex. Then, low and behold - 3 hours into sleeping I had a dream I was flying. Now I've had a number of these in the past. Flying is the only recurrent dream sign I always catch - in terms of determining I'm dreaming. I was hovering over my front yard about 25 feet in the air. I started to lose altitude as soon as I became lucid. I visualized the ground moving away from me and that helped me resume my position. Then I moved a little in the forward direction just by thinking about it. Eventually, I started falling but was able to slow the decent and woke up when I softly hit the ground. Very cool. So while I've had spontaneous flying lucid dreams before, this was the first one in which I was able to exhibit some control. Next step of course is to start from the ground. Though the trick of visualizing the ground moving away from me worked quite well. So i think I can pull that off next time around.
