      Long First LDs

      How many of you had long lucid dreams your first time? If I hadn't gotten a really vivid and long LD my first time, I probably wouldn't have continued trying to have one.

      I basically read the first 4 - 5 chapters of EWOLD and somewhere it said "If you've never had an LD before, and you're only hearing about it now, you might have one tonight." So I was like, sweet! I went to bed a little early and sure enough I had a 20 minute long LD with decent control and amazing vividness.

      What were the average lengths of your first LD?
      WBTBs = 5
      DILDs = 17
      WILDs = 2
      DEILDs = 3
      MILDs = 12

      Total Lucid Dreams = 38
      Last LD = 02/21/08

      My first LD, I had nearly full control, I was flying around, shooting lightning out of my fingertips, spawning DCs; I just didn't have full control over the DCs themselves. Like Half-Life's Garry's Mod, I could spawn computer players, but they still had a mind of their own that I couldn't manipulate.

      As far as length, it felt pretty long, lasted several scenes, but I can't really give a specific time frame. Strangely enough, it happened only a few days after I found out that LDs were even possible.

      Second LD: 5/1/07

      While my -very- first one was only a flash, where I realised and then woke up, my first one where I didn't wake up straight away was quite long, about 10 minutes in perspective time.

      I still haven't had one that I can remember. ( As for those I can't remember, I cannot account for them. )

      My first was induced by a double false awakening. It lasted anywhere between 10 and 30 minutes and I had pretty good control. I couldn'e make objects appear, but I levitated my sister with psychic mind powers.

      My first LD was amazing. I've gone lucid before I knew what it was to wake ujp during nightmares and stuff before but it took a really long time for me to have a real lucid dream. It was like a half hour though, pretty cool. I flew through an intersteller wrecking area.

      Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

      I've been having occasional lucid dreams for longer than I can remember, but the first I can remember was very short, as most of them afterwards were. Back then, before I knew anything of lucid dreaming besides personal experience, my average LD was only a couple minutes.
