If it's only 3 days, don't get worried. It can take a while. If you're losing sleep from the mp3, take a break from it. Having a good night's sleep is probably more important for recall and lucidity than the mp3, and you'll feel better too. |

I have been trying for 3 days now, well almost 3 days. I listen to |

Take your time, its fustrating i know, ive been trying for a week, i can barely even recally dreams, aint had LD. Im going to take it slow now |
|
But is it even normal you can't sleep at all even when it's at the lowest sound? |
|
Yes. You have to get used to having them inside your ears. The problem is not the sound, but the excitement, the feeling of having them there, the idea of sleeping with them and so on. |

It took me months to learn to LD. |

You're not an astronaut.
Finally was able to sleep with music running. I woke up 3 hours after sleeping and had a long normal dream i just wrote down the last 10 minutes. That's 4 of the last 5 days of recalled dreams i've been able to record, even if they are really short. |

Good process, Bob |

3 days? You think you've got it bad. I've been trying for the past 3 months and I still haven't got it. Don't give up so easily! Like someone in another thread said, the most important part is believing you can do it. |

Are you dreaming, Truff? ARE YOU?!
(For reality checks)
How long does it usually take for you to form a habit? Some people are very habitual people, but some people can take months or years for something to become a ritual. The ability to lucid dream is largely based on your habit forming skills (funny to think of it as a skill) because the initial moment of lucidity must be a complete reflex. |

Took me 3 YEARS to have my first LD! |

Way to discourage him :p |

I've been trying for almost a year now and have only had low-awareness lucids and I don't really consider them real lucids. My problem is that I don't actually try that hard. Hopefully I'll work on it more in the summer. |

Hi LucidFlanders, |

http://www.short10.com/?c=fdrmviews_ldk is the place to be!
Not intended to discourage, but to encourage not giving up, I started late in life, brain connections diminishing, but I refused to surrender. If you want something enough, well, you just don't quit! I'm glad I kept at it, my lucids are something else! |
