      haha anyone ever do this?

So a couple of nights ago I was having a dream about meeting up and hanging out wiht my ex. (I broke up with her awhile ago and now that i'm home from college and back in town it's reminding me of her so i kinda miss her) So anyway a lot of my dreams the past week have been of being with her. So it all of a sudden dawned on me that I could be dreaming since this has been happening in my dreams a lot lately. I looked around noting that everything looked so real but knew better than to be tricked by that. So I decided to do a RC by blocking my nose and breathing in. So I did it and the first time I breathed right through my blocked nose, this surprised me since I was sure it was RL. I wanted it not to be a dream so bad that I kept doing it over and sort of convinced my self i just must not have been blocking my nose all the way, then kept on going wiht the dream. haha I can be so stupid in my dreams .

I know other people have talked about how some RCs just haven't worked right but has anyone ever convince themselves that their RC's were wrong because they wanted it to be real?

My digital watch RC has never failed me but sometimes I just don't believe the RC. I remember one LD where I did the watch check and though it was broken because the watch changed, another time it was dark and I tried to turn on my watch light to do a RC and the light won't turn on (lights not turning on is an RC btw) so I thought my watch was broken again. If you get into a situation like that try doing another RC like the watch one or since the nose one worked for you, maybe you should try looking at your hands. I wouldn't recommend trying dream control or flying as a backup RC. I tried to fly once because I wasn't sure I was in a dream (and my watch broke again :p ) I just fell back to the ground and decided the raging robots were real. Also along with the RC try and use logic, such as asking how did I get here or what is happening? Sometimes thats all I need to get lucid, or sometimes it doesn't work, it works better along with a differnt RC.

No, that's never happened to me, but sometimes I dream that I'm lucid when I'm really not.
