Well it sounds like you did have lucid dreams when you were younger. This is ompletely common among other people, as a majority of people have lucid dreams when they are younger. It usually helps people to find this site. |

Now this is weird because when I was much younger, like under the age of ten, I used to have dreams sometimes where I became aware I was ina dreams and I would be able to wake myself up, but it only ever really happened in nightmares. It was like my way of getting out of nightmare, but I never knew about lucid dreams back then so I did not realise I could do whatever I wanted. This was likec10 years ago though. Ally my dreams are just normal dreams, but I do have very good dream recall. I can remember up to 4 or 5 dreams in the morning when I wake up. |

Yep, like NeAvO said, most people here got their LDing start with experiencing it as a kid. It seems like people lose the ability as they get older though and have to actually try to induce them rather than them occuring naturally like they used to. I was one of those kids, too - especially with nightmares like you said. Luckily, I still attain lucidity spontaneously, and especially with bad dreams so I can wake myself up. |

When I was a kid, I dreamt I was on the Mighty Ducks hockey team. I knew something was kind of wrong, so I skated up to the coach (whatever actor played their coach) and asked "Is this a dream?". He said no, but I knew he was lying. After that, I just went with it and finished out the game. It was the coolest thing at the time. |
