      lucid side effect

hi. i have been lucid dreaming since as long as i can remember, and allthought there are no physical side effcts to it, i have experienced some mental side effects. the thing is, some times it starts to get confusing wheather a dream is a dream, or wheater u are in real life. at last it is for me some times. im my dreams, it is always a contuining of the day. i go to school , go to the same places, and talk to many of the same people. sometimes i know im dreaming because in real life some of the people dont exsist. i also day dream alot, well more like hallucinate. lol, and i immagine things during the day, things thaoyut would not happen in real life, but i sort of make it happen. like adding a special effect after in in a movie. well theside effect is that some times you can get confused as to which life is real

Thinking a dream is real isn't really a side effect, its what dreams do and theres nothing wrong with it. When you think real life is a dream though, thats a problem. As for me I never really noticed anything like that before.

Don't worry, you are only on the road to seeking. If you can't tell dreams from reality, that's fine. I used to have that issue, but I figured it's something not to worry about, but to explore instead.
naturals are what we call people who did all the right things accidentally

try and keep some piece of text on you, or a digital watch. You can check that to see if you're dreaming (If you are, it probalby doesnt make sense whats on your watch/paper)

Barbizzle you have quite a Talent there. Believe I recognize the Naturals. Try to utilize those daydreaming methods into a WILD. Im not sure if you have done WILD or not but if not you will love this. If you are natural chances are you probably already been down this road before. But try to mix a few things up and play around with it a while. See what kinda results you get.

I also get this reaction every-now-and-again, but my room has an atomic clock in it that tells me the day of the week. Keeps me on track quite well.

I believe all Naturals have WILDed at least once. I personally am a natural, and have had quite a few WILDs in my life.

If you are hallucinating or confusing reality with dream reality couldn't it be consider schizophrenia? I mean I know the basic symptoms of the illness but I could be wrong.

      This is really annoying

I had only 2 such dreams, and OMG, they were soooooo confusing.... It's not a normal dream awareness - you think you are still awake and only going to bed.

RC dont work, it's absolutely like a normal day, exept you are dreaming

There have been two days in particular that I remember I was really, really confused as whether I was in a dream or it was the waking life. I kept performing RCs, all negative. I knew that it was the WL, but still had the feeling that I have when I am aware enough in a dream...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

Yes, it is quite similar to the symptons of schizophrenia.

I myself suffered very similar problems as barbizzle and I talked about it in my very first thread (it is under Memorable Topics).

However, I also came to realize that all the problems were self-perpetuated..
