      Music in Dreams

In a dream i had a while back there was music playing in my friends car, and the only reason I remember it clearly is because it was a rap song i knew but to a different beat. So i know you can hear music in your dreams.

So my question here is: do you guys think there is anyway to have music playing in your lucids coming from nowhere? Almost like an Ipod in your head.

I don't see why not. I'm pretty sure I've heard of this being possible, though I've never experienced it. I can never explicitly remember sounds I've heard in dreams, but I'm a noob, I think your mind can recreate any sensory input its been exposed to and interpretted, so I think you can definately have the best surround sound ever pour down from the heavens in a lucid dream if you believe in it. I might say theres a possibility you might play a song and it is missing some instruments because you don't remember all parts of the song, but the mind always seems to prove more powerful than we assume so you can probably make this as awesome as you believe you can
Its not just smart - its a machine.

Sometimes i will wake up in the morning with some random song in my head (ex: Can't touch this), then when i go to remember my dream i realize that the song was also stuck in my head then too.:p

I'm not saying its impossible, but this morning I finally figured out what separates my dreams from reality - there is no sound.

Thinking about it, any dream I've ever had, be it lucid or not, has never had any sound as the waking world knows it. I've had conversations and heard important things, but I don't hear it in the conventional sense, I just know what message is being conveyed...

I have very clear (and often fantastically cool) music in my dreams all the time. It probably helps that I am a composer, but I imagine anyone can dream music.

WOW, just thaught of a really good way to do this. Manifest a jukebox and scroll through the songs and just pick which one you want to play. Hopefully all your favorite songs will be in it.

Just make sure that if you see a song in your jukebox that you've never heard before... HIT PLAY!! I guarantee that will be the most interesting one there.

Aphex Twin would lucid dream that he was in his studio and then make music, and then wake up and try to make the same track he did when he was dreaming. Was never quite the same though.
