      Was I WILDing?

I was doing the WBTB technique, and while I was trying to get back to sleep, I start imagining stuff, things I wanted to do in my dream, situations etc, just playing things out in my mind. It was strangely more vivid and less fragmented than my normal waking imagination. Over time the characters from my imagination began to get more and more vivid, and then there was a short period that I don't remember (must have been the changeover point) and then I was LDing properly.

I was just wondering because when I look back it seemed like I was WILDing because I was conscious the whole time, but I didn't experience any of that creepy hypagognic imagery, vibrations or sounds.

Hey Onimal, i think theres an easy way of determining this, if you became lucid and it felt real to the extent of real life then you may have WILDed, however i've experienced realistic imagery when meditating, just with my eyes closed and letting my mind wander i find things becoming more and more vivid, if your sure you were having a lucid dream you probably did WILD but you may not have been aware of the transition due to your concentrated thoughts.

Looking back it wasn't the most vivid LD I've ever had, at least to the point of it being comparable to real life.
