Bro, (or bra in your case?) you need to find what works for you. Wen you realize you are dreaming, just look around, chill, and tell yourself it is your dream. Enjoy your dream life, you are in control and can make it seem that way if you beleive it.

Also, go to bed with the attitude that you enjoy your dreams, see what your mind wants to show you tonight, and rest assured you will enjoy, and be aware, don't make it difficult, it can be quite easy for you if you just relax, and let it come.

Well if you are new to dreaming, it is good that you even are having lucid dreams even if they suck and if you black out. You will get better over time, i haven't nearly mastered it in any asset myself. My advice is just dont get too excited and reality check a lot. also use your journal to look for dream signs. Good luck!

What methodology do you use? How do you feel after waking? Lots of people suffer from premature-awakening because they get too emotional when they realize they've become lucid.

Regardless, it would probably help to impress upon your subconscious (via MILD or HILD) the importance of control once you become lucid. If the problem continues consider giving yourself a break or trying a new methodology.

I haven't experienced this, but it's just an idea.

Try shaping the darkness with your hands. Or let color and light flow from inside you outwards, forming the world from withing as opposed to processing it from outside stimuli.
