      Is my mind tricking me?!

      Hi everyone

I just woke up, and I am having a dillema. I said in a previous post my recall has become quite bad. Today however, I am fairly certain I had a lucid dream. I remember standing in some sort of gymnasium, in a kind of shallow dream, and being like "Woahhh, lucid dream", trying to read text, and after about a minute of low level lucidity just losing it.

However I am concerned because I may be LD'ing more than I beleive I am since my recall is quite bad. Does anyone else here feel their mind might be tricking them? (Though I am fairly sure I did dream this)

Is there a way for me to take adavantage of these mini LD's, such as setting my clock for the end of REM like when trying to begin to LD?

Thanks pe00ples, maybe I am having more than I originally thought and just not remembering them

dream journals are key. I remember multiple dreams every night. How? when you wake up think about your dreams, and have your journal close by. I can't tell you how many times i have no recall of a dream but when i lay down and think about it really hard, 3 dreams pop into my head, and i write them down and every detail a.s.a.p. Also, read your dream journal frequently

Is there any proof that LDs can really be forgotten the same way non-LDs can be?
I mean, I had LDs where I could remember nothing but the time from becoming lucid to the end, where I know for sure that there was something before I became lucid...

Same here... I've had LDs where all I could remember was being lucid though I know there is a before and sometimes after to it! So yeah... you might not forget a lucid when you have one, or you just might...

As for a DJ, they are a major role in increasing recall but I find that if I try to write down my dreams I tend to forget them... if I'm lucky they come back to me but if I try to write it down ASAP I forget it, if I wait a few hours and do it I'm just fine... might just be some psychological thing with me though
