So, I wake up, sort of groggy, go back to sleep. I gradually realize I'm lucid and find myself in an old house that I used to live in when I was 14 or 15 (I'm 20 now). I look around and try mentally to keep the dream clear by paying attention, I don't want to drift off and lose lucidity. I'm doing this as I begin to head downstairs, toward the basement. I then think, well why not make the most of this freak lucid dream, and get laid. So I keep walking downstairs, telling myself that a girl will be in the basement waiting to have sex with me. I think of the first girl that comes to mind, some girl from my old highschool, and continue to walk down. |

well appearently not. |

Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.
it happens in normal dreams, and stuff from normal dreams can appear in your LD's too... |

I might have an idea, I think you can't dream about something you've never seen or done, i guess the brain can't generate the desired images... |

When beholding the tranquil beauty and brilliancy of the ocean's skin, one forgets the tiger heart that pants beneath it; and would not willingly remember that this velvet paw but conceals a remorseless fang

you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

I see your point and have to agree... somewhat. |

"By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me; a prayer to the God of my life."
Psalm 42:8
I am pretty sure he probably has heard of/seen/had sex sometime in his life... |

If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...
"There is nothing new under the sun." I do believe in new DISCOVERIES, but believe that all inventions and "new ideas," etc. are simply reworkings or combinations of past ideas. We do not think of new things in a vacuum... ALL of our ideas, images, and theories were built on old ideas and thr porgress of the past. Discovery is not the creation of something new... It is simply the realization of a thought that has always or already existed. Sure we can discover things during LDing just like we can discover things in waking life, but nothing spontaneously pops out of a vacuum... |

To sum up the comments given to me as I understand them, some of you suggest that the reason time slowed is because I was attempting an impossibility of some sort, so time slowed in order that I never reach an unimaginable encounter. Others don't buy this, because it seems fairly imaginable, in addition to the experiential fact that amazing things happen in lucid dreams all the time, including things one does not seem to imagine. |

I suggest you try a verbal command, see if that will help you. Try yelling something like: "Normal time speed resume!!!" or "High level lucidity" and then focusing on bringing time back to its usual speed. Not sure if it will work, but it wouldn't hurt to try... |
