Thread: Savant

I was just wondering. Has it ever occured to anyone to try to effect their subconcious to a point of changing their real lives? I was just thinking about savants and such, their power I imagine comes from their subconcious`right? Oh well I just figured those of you who have already mastered lucid dreaming could create a door while in their dream that is a portal, assume the portal is to a place where their subconcious dwells, and speak to their subconcious saying things like, give me and affinity for such and such.

I was thinking also about this "time dialation" thing. I haven't read much about it, but what if it were possible to give yourself that kind of dialation in RL...in the such that you could have long periods of time in RL to think, without having to be asleep. For example...someone asks you a question about something personal, and you want to have time to think of a response. You could theoretically use a dream to convince your subconcious to give you this ability in RL.

I tried to create a door once in a dream to the place I mentioned, it came up from the ground, and when I opened it, it wasn't a portal lol, it was just a door, in the way, I could open it and walk right through to the regular space that was already there, /sigh that was sad.

Side note: I havent been here long enough for someone to "adopt me" but when I am I promise to be a good friend =)
