How does LD affect your life?

How much has Lucid affected your life? Are you happier because of it? How much time a day do you spend on dream related stuff such as RT's? Hopefully you have hobbies and other stuff you like to do in your real life.
i was thinking it would be mighty unhealthy if you spent to much time inside your mind ya know!

It's true that you could probably get to into having LDs and just live to dream. I mean what could be better then doing whatever you want..

Though it's a fun thing to do it shouldn't be ALL you do. Because about 1/3 of your life you are sleeping though why not try to lucid dream every night? It's not like you have anything better to do!

It's something fun to do when you go sleep knowing that you can actually be doing something for the 8 or so hours that you are sleeping as to not waste time, but I don't obsess my life over it I.E. sleep my life away.

I love to lucid dream, and I think about it a lot, but it hasn't really had a large impact on my acual life. Sure, it takes dedication and hard work to achieve and maintin the ability to lucid dream (for most of us), but it's not something that takes away or adds much to my life...except satisfaction whenever I have a lucid dream. Although lucid dreaming is my major hobby, I also like to work on computers and play video games.

It really amazes me how many people say that they don't talk about it with their friends or family because they think it's weird or some occult junk. I told everyone about it when I first learned about it, and everyone I talked to replied positively. None of them except one of my brothers ever even attempted to have any, but nobody ever thought I was a weirdo for trying it. Hell, I tell my mom whenever I have a lucid dream because she likes to hear about all the crazy stuff that you can do in a dream, and she's christian.

LDing to me is affirmation of the power of the mind and the soul beyond that. It is a unique treasure that is greater in power than any drug, beyond opinion, and given of the depth of consciousness where the magic of god's original mind is still potent.

The only time I think about Lding is when I lie in bed at night, and when I'm on this forum.
