Has DV had a negative impact on your LDs?

Just wondering if I am alone here? Since I joined DV my LDs have gone right down the pan. I used to frequently have them, now its like I am cursed and they are very few and far between. I cant remember the last time I had an LD in my own bed!! I would have to have been well over a month ago The most recent LDs in this past month, maybe about 8 or so were from my holiday and then when I went away on business.

I can't seem to snap out of this, and it's bugging me lol. I have tried to WILD a couple of times to see if I can induce the LDs this way but failed. I can't seem to snap out of this negativity...

      Help

the only thing this website, IMO, can damage is dream control....when things are made out to be really hard to achieve so you fall into the trap of thinking it is

I dont know about that, I think it is down to the individual. And if anything could have a positive effect and spur you on to proove you can do this above other people?

      That’s cool

It might not be DV - It much just be me, but the awareness of what LDs are have certainly put lucid dreaming on this pedestal which I am struggling to reach now

I'm far from experienced with LDs, but it sounds to me like whatever you are reading on this forum makes you feel small rather than inspired. In your situation, I would start from the ground up and convince myself once again that everything here is within my grasp if I motivate myself enough.

Visually, if you see LD on a pedestal then make yourself as tall as the pedestal and visualize grabbing it! You are not a dwarf among giants, so don't pretend to be

You know, you could be right! But I am still getting like 6/7 hours a night, which is enough right? I mean people LD when the knap, so I should be able to with less sleep?

I find the more time I spend doing the same actvity in a day, the less frequent my LD's. So I don't think it's DV that's doing it, rather disproportionate use? That late night i chat can't help...

Cheer up, Adam. You're putting too much pressure on yourself. For one thing, not getting sufficient sleep will obviously hinder your LDs (or dreaming in general). Personally, I found a renewed growth in my LD proficiency from the inspiration I receive from DV.

This place makes me happy, stressed, up, down. It's a mixed roller coaster of a blessing for me. But I can say for sure that DV does not negatively affect my frequency of LDs. It's actually done a lot of good for my dream life.

I wish I had a magic pill to help you but all I can say is that I hope you can pull out of your slump soon. Good luck, man.

By the way, you know you can make multiple quotes in one post instead of making a separate post for each quote, right?

Well, AdamA, could it be a dry spell? I've read on here that it's just a phase where you have difficulty remembering or inducing dreams, which basically sounds like what you said. Not sure how long they usually last...

If anything it's had a good effect on my ld's, this month i'v decided to keep a record on how many ld nights i have and so far i'm averaging an ld night every other night, which is about my normal rate.

I have found that my LDs correlate inversely with the amount of time I spend on the internet and watching TV. To be perfectly honest, I have been having less LDs since ive joined, seeing as I have been spending far more time on the internet.

      Go figure.
