Reality checks gone wrong in a dream?

ok so for about 2 weeks ive been questioning if im dreaming or not then attempting to stick my finger through a wall

well i was in a dream tonight and i got a feeling kinda like this is a dream

i think this is the same feeling i get sometimes before i just turn lucid

well i went over to a wall and did the test and my finger didnt go through so i decided i wasnt dreaming?

any ideas on how to stop this from happening ?

Oh, I hate that... one time, I was in a dream and I decided that what was going on was pretty weird. So for a reality check, I closed my eyes, folded my arms over my chest, and tried to fly. It failed, and my dream went on as normal.

Another one that happened recently... I was just getting done with some great sex, and I thought "Wow, that was awesome. You sure this isn't a dream?" I thought for a moment and said "Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's real life." And I kept asking myself, but then I would keep reassuring myself it's reality... x_x

If there is a wall in your dream, then that must mean there is a physical construct in your dream (or at least, you believe there is one), thus, physical rules will apply. For example, not going through walls.. The terrain is tangible.

For the simple reason that a wall exists, precipitates that you also walk, which also means there is gravity, etc. These are all things that are meaningless in dreams, and they will prevent you from realizing that you are dreaming (at least, your subconscious will prevent you, I mean).

My suggestion, change your dream sign; it's not a very reliable one. I suggest the light switch method. I don't believe it's been posted in a while.. but it's a very reliable method. I'll explain it if it you would like..

well, such RC arent effective. I tried finger through my palm but it failed once.

best RC is finding digital clocks. reading words or looking at the pictures.
