You need to keep reminding yourself that you are dreaming, the easiest way to do that is to do something impossible. Walking through walls works for me. |

Last night I had my first lucid experience. (Noticed some tattoos on my arms, which usually have none.) But I don't think it lasted. The dream went on and I think I got sucked back into it. Unfortunately the dream came to me in the morning and there are some scenes missing in an otherwise lengthy episode. If this happens again, what can I do to become lucid again if I can't hold onto it the first time? |

I try to work reminders that I'm dreaming into my dream control, so I'll think stuff like "I can fly, because I'm dreaming" when I want to fly. |

Just do a reality check. Search it on the forum there are loads or techniques like pluging your nose and breathing, putting your finger through you hand etc... |

Had a similar experience like OP, except after losing lucidity I woke up - weird, I know. I can remember when being lucid I somehow convinced myself that it isn't a lucid dream ( |

"All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible."

Thanks for the tips. Hopefully now that I know how easy it is to lose lucidity I'll be able to keep it better. |
