      I'm not dreaming, I'm reading

So, I've had a bit of trouble with my dream lately that's been a annoying me a tad (well, a lot).

I seem to be able to realize soemthing is wrong with reality just fine and that nothing around me is real, but I never seem to become lucid. For example, last night I hade a dream were several people (DeadDollKittty and myself included) fell in love with that dragon thing from The Never Ending Story (absoloutely NO idea why, I think it was because he was flirting with everyoen in the dream), I quickly realized this couldn't be the case, but where did my mind go? "Oh, I'm reading about this, my imagination is just being a bit vivid" and I carried on with the dream.

It's been happening a lot in other dreams, just replace reading with watching tv or playing a game etc.

Once I've decided this, it's very hard to get myself to do a reality check again because I know it's not real, I've just jumped to the wrong conclusion.

Has anyone got some good ways to fix this/has experienced this?

It's only lately this has been happening, usually I'm find with it all.

Well, I'd reality check when reading/gaming/watching.

tell yourself to do multiple reality checks

Maybe try and remember the last book you were reading and see if it's the same one?
