Dont you wish...? (mostly for people who ALSO belive in dream sharing)

I like to think.. that this dream sharing thing.. is almost like a HUGE MMO

I mean if u TRULY think about it, games and MMO were Dreams at one point *not litterly*

but.. for example Second Life.. you can do Anything in that game just about With thousands of other people

...Just Think.. Lucid Dreaming being a Huge MMO.. where u can talk with people, live with people, do what ever and ACTULLY experince it with those people..

lol i mean sounds kinda crazy.. but if u havent seen The Bridge to Taribitha (i REALLY didnt, but i went with my parents, and it acutlly made me think aobut this more) The 2 kids, always came home, with something to think about, something to do, they would go into this little imaginary world.. and they would look forward to it everyday, where they could escape anything they wanted, and althought they used there imagination... its not far from this actully

......A huge MMO... its like u dont need to buy anything any more, just use your imagination, and if Dream Sharing can be done anytime (which it probably can , we just need to figure out how exactly) it could be like playing Halo or GTA with your friends, and being like VR.. or just Fly around and race, or get a Car and tune it out instantly or make ur own house
or have "fun" with a boy or girl, and not worry about aids or condoms

lol... cant you just imagine that
and while i havent had a Lucid Dream yet and im still trying..
i think about this Subject alot
Who needs weed to get the high feeling?
when u can lucid dream your self to do anything you want to?

If dream sharing is really possible, that means that dreams are actually real at some level, and that would be bad, because dreams would no longer be completely free and repercussion-less. So no.

      Hi Young JC,
I like that tone of thinking myself. Lets put it another way. Suppose what ever you think of or imagine in this life manifests itself into existance in the other world, and after you die in this one, you go to that one to play among what you have created. What say you?

thegnome54: is the world of Azeroth (World of Warcraft) more real because thousands of players can experience it simultaneously? No matter how many people interface with that game world, it's still a bunch of data in a server, and the details of that world are still only as real as our visual perceptions of it. So if two people share the same dream, it's still just a collection of firing synapses at our "real" level just the game world is a bunch of 0s and 1s on a hard drive. Sharing that vision doesn't make dreams more real... what it does make more real is the mental connection that would make such a thing possible.

I mean, are mass hallucinations more real than individual ones?

ok...say this was possible (even though i dont believe a bit in dream sharing)...

what happens if one person tries to use dream control to affect anothers dreams? do you know how annoying it would be having someone walk into my lucids and use powers to pick me up and throw me to the middle of nowhere...

and say you got into a lucid fight? there can never be a winner....dream control has no restraints. it would get so dumb it wouldnt be funny

people could dream away your lucid possessions

      bad idea and thankfully impossible

In an MMO, everyone is connected to the server and their individual computers see different parts of the world on the server. In a shared lucid dream, each person's mind would have to be getting signals from some 'ultimate dream world', which would mean that dreams are something more than just neurons firing. That's my point. If dreams are just in our heads, there's no way to have a real shared dream. If we CAN have shared dreams, there must be something more, a higher level of processing where all of our dreams come from.
