      Transition to lucidity

Hi everyone, I'm new to these forums, but have been reading them for a few weeks now. I had my third lucid dream last night, and much like my previous two, I'm curious about the transition.
In all three of my lucid dreams, I went from simply dreaming, to realizing that I was dreaming and becoming lucid. The transition was really subtle every time, while I used to think that by becoming lucid you would have a really intense feeling of awareness. For example last night, I was jumping really high and realized that couldn't be done in real life, so I was probably dreaming. Then I just tried flying and I could, and I had loads of fun. But it just sort of bothers me that my transition is never really clear. Any of you have any ideas about why it is this way? Any of you have the same experience?
I'd like to hear some opinions

i think thats just the way you might become lucid, some pple become lucid by just knowing there dreaming , others like me who somtimes cant do it have to go through the strange stages .

      Welcome DarthNatas!
I'm not sure I understand what bothers you.. You said you understood that it's a dream, and concequently had lots of fun, so whats the problem?
In any case, each dream is different, and in the future you will probably have dreams with higher levels of awareness. There are some techniques that you can try to improve the lucidity after you become lucid. You may have heard of some of those, if not I can mention some of them.

Yeah, I guess I shouldn't be bothered, because I did become lucid and all that. I just have this feeling, since the transition is really subtle that I might miss it. For example, I would be thinking: "Hey, I'm dreaming." But then because it's so subtle, I might just forget about it and stay in the normal dream. I was always expecting to get a wave of awareness over me, almost like opening your eyes for the first time and finally being able to see. So when I didn't in my first 2 lucid dreams, i started doubting wether they really were lucid's or not. I guess that's sort of my problem.

Hmm, thats might actually be quite advanced. There are those dreams where you sort of know that it's a dream but don't take the mental leap of really registering it and becoming lucid.
It's like you know somewhere on the back of your mind that it's a dream, but most of your awareness is still asleep, and it does not "listen" to the part of yourself that thinks that it's a dream. In these type of dreams, it just takes a tiny moment of awareness to say to your self something like: hey if this is a dream, that lets be lucid! and from this moment you can start your lucid dream.
You seem to be able to take this step, which is small but very difficult to archive for most people, and I think that pretty good.

Way way way way way wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back in the day I sort of remembering the transition of becoming Lucid to be more profound, and not it is just "X is true making Y true and so Z must be true" meaning "Jump High, Not Possible, Must Be Dreaming" and that is it for me. It's just a "oh I'm dreaming" nothing really profound and then I am completely lucid and fully aware.
