      Lucid Poets.

I have been feeling very poetic lately because of my last LD. But i haven't really written anything now i know that there are those of you that have poetry in every vain and who writes down not only Luicd experiences in their Dream Journals but also patterns of words that come down to a rithym. This might seem kinda gay to some people but I am a very artistic man and i always love to read a good poem as much as hear/play a song, write/direct a film, or just painting woith a brush or a can of spraypaint. So please if there are any Lucid poets out there or Rappers i'd love to read some fresh rhymes.

That's a neat concept, but if you want more thread attention you'll need to change the title. Trust me.

Rap is good when done right, horrible when not. Just like ant genre of music.

I'm pretty sure we have a few on the forum, or at least ones who have tried. I tried myself once, but didn't remember any of the words upon waking.

Despite my belief, I was told my poem didn't suck, so here it is X.X

      A soul was lost
She held on tight to her life.
A death is not a host.
It is a fact that when life is gone.
      you long for it.
So in essence, while life is impossible without a heart.
It is impossible for one to be at ease.
that is to say impossible without a heart beat.
For life is desired, and without that which holds us to life.
We will long to find our life
so while the longer dead was revulted by the new.
she spoke out with all rights due.
and the young could very easily believe.
You could not live without your heartbeat

It was written due to a dream i've recorded in my dream journal... http://sandmanlair.blogspot.com/2007...eartbeat.html/

Basically its saying that when you have nothing to live for, you long for something to make life worth while. While at the same time, those who have given up on ever finding something to live for long ago, will tell those who are just now having a lost interest in life to give up hope, because they are disgusted that the newer ones desire such a thing, due to the fact they they are in fact disgusted by themselves as well.

(The heart being the source of life, and the heartbeat being that which lets you acknowledge that you are alive. Its also worth noting not much effort was put into writing it lol. I should have tried to be better at being gramatically correct etc, but I wasn't, so you have a very valid reason not to understand it lol)

I wrote this poem in a dream many years ago:

      THE DREAM GUIDE

We each have a guru - who lives in our head
who talks to us in riddles - when we are in bed
but when we awake - to the light of the day
his wise council - soon fades
      quickly - away

Vortex if I ever have a poem assignment in school can plagerise your poem please? =)
Btw I wrote another kinda depressing poem.

      Sometimes when I wake up
I find my dreams were just a dream
      they didn't mean anything
they were cruel just like me

If i know i'm in a dream as such
      I pretend I don't anyway
      lest I be lead astray
when I wake up to today

Freaking A one of these days i'm going to have a pocket dictionairy and actually be able to spell words the right way.

All true artists know that the highest form of poetry is the limerick...

The damsel in distress was screaming,
My armour and sword, they were gleaming,
      Then my wife said okay,
      You can take her away,
And that's how I knew I was dreaming.

If you've ever heard the poem "Kublai Khan" (which, if you are a poet or have an english degree, you certainly have), it's rather famous and was, I believe composed in a dream. Though I don't remember if it was a Lucid or non-Lucid.
"Of course it is all happening inside your head...but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?"
