      YESSS!!! Lucid dream count: 1

I had my first lucid dream last night!! I don't even know how it happened, because I didn't WILD or anything... but apparently all the tips and stuff have helped here, because I noticed a 'dream sign' and realized I was dreaming and, and... maybe I should just tell the story.

I was in my house, but it looked a lot different - but of course, things like that are normal in a dream. My dad was being chased and attacked by something (I don't have a clue what, that's the one part of my dream I couldn't remember). Pretty soon, he was on the floor all weak, and I was thinking to myself, "No, this can't be happening!" And I looked over at the 'thing' that was chasing him again and actually said aloud, "I'm dreaming!" I never actually thought all the tips on DV would work so fast like this... really, I didn't!! Then I was so excited I almost woke up, and by some miracle I remembered to start spinning. Next thing I knew, I was surrounded by these huge black blocks, still spinning, so they were moving around me really fast. About a minute later, it stopped working and I woke up, then fell back asleep and didn't fully realize I'd had a lucid dream until morning.

Well done on the lucid dream! DILDS can be useful sometimes.

Congrats on the dream! Is it what you expected? Better? Letdown?

Well, I wish I could have remained dreaming for a little longer, but I guess that'll come with time! For one thing, though, it made me more determined to have more. The night after that, I remembered 5 dreams! That's a new record.
