      someone tell me what happened

ok im new here..I've had a few lucid dreams before coming to this site they were pretty cool. but recently i was trying to goto sleep not even really thinking about lucid dreaming or trying to. Im laying there with the tv on with no volume and my eyes are closed.so as i lay there it feels like im nailed to the bed and cant really do anything (moving wise) so i think thats normal cuz when im gettin real sleepy i usually never move or itll wake me up.. next thing you kno its like im seeing like a whole bunch of colorful trees and plants like a painting of a forest or something right in front of me (with my eyes still closed now)..its was tight but at the time i was like wtf..and i opened my eyes and look around feeling exited cuz thats never happend before and then kinda scared at the same time. its like im laying there and i see all the stuff appear in front of me like im there or something but i was in my bed i could feel the covers and whatnot. its like i was watching a movie with 3d glasses on or something the way it just popped out at me it was real weird kinda hard to explain it

has anything weird like this ever happened to any of yall? i read a little bit on this site last night and im guessing me bein stuck was that "sleep paralysis" that happens to people when they lay there long enough not moving..but the seeing the plants and stuff that was just plain tight..can someone tell me whats goin on an if yall experienced anything like that

Well, you are right about the sleep paralysis. The images you are seeing are called "hypnagogic imagery," or HI. It usually accompanies SP, and precedes dream entry. It sounds like when you opened your eyes you may have either been in a dream, or the HI just kept going for a bit. Next time try a reality check, I suggest the nose plug RC. I hope I helped.

wow i just thought about it and i think i might have been dreaming or something else...its like when i opened my eyes i felt like normal and i did a reality check i looked at my hands(the one i usually do) and the clock... both normal but something that happened i dont think i could explain it..it was like i heard this sound like starting low then gradually getting louder and louder until it sounding like a loud scream sort of sound then my body shot up real quick..i think i mightve almost had an oobe or somthin it was nothin i ever experienced i then came back to normal..WILD is a scary method to do lol..everytime i try it something weird happens like i did it last night and i swore i heard someone talking but my room was quiet im gonna keep going though i only got a lucid dream before by reality checking while dreaming. I want to WILD though any tips on how to get one? I might try PARADIGMSHIFT'S WILD method tonight(the sliding in the bed one)

hey, sorry i was on vacation in colorado....beautiful!!! yup, you definately experienced a WILD, but without knowledge of what you went through and the proper techniques to enter a WILD, you wont be prepared for the intense "reality" of the whole thing. One minute you are trying to sleep, the next you are in dream land, its very intense!! You asked me for advice, well first you have to tell me what you are doing...have you tried to have a WILD on purpose?? I can tell you how i have done it... but there should be posts on this page about it..just look at my posts..if they are deleted, just message me any questions man...

Thats cool..I wanna go on a vacation too just gotta get the money! but WILD's are like nothing I have ever experienced in life. This incident I wasnt intentionally trying to do a WILD. But now Im on a quest to get a WILD I pretty much now know how to relax myself, and get into SP. I never really get HI like with the trees alot or whatever, basically I just have very long sleep paralysis and then either I fall asleep or get tired and give up. But my question, if I were to get that HI like I got that time again how would I "jump" into the scene? I read u have to get yourself into the scene I just dont really know how.

there isn't any real way to just "jump" into your dream..it kind of just happens and you have to be "awake" when it does..its really intense, and you want to wake up or start running around but you have to be very very patient...on the onset of SP you are merely minutes away from being in a WILD..it just takes some trial and error to know what to expect and how to react when certain things happen...once you start hearing or seeing HI you are seconds away from being in the dream, just keep waiting, be thinking about what you want to dream about, and only think about that, think about yourself doing what you want to dream about, see yourself being there, hear the sounds that would be around you, soon you will be there, PATIENCE..
