      Why did this happen?

      I did a digital watch reality check last night in my dream as soon as I find out that its a dream (before I can even get excited) I automatically wake up.

      It happened the other night too.

      So it only happened twice. I started doing digital watch realty check starting last week so I'm not worried or anything, but did this happen to anyones else?

      Happens a lot to first timers. It should wear off with experience.

      Yeah. Usually happens due to excitement, but in your case, just the realization that you are dreaming, alone, can rip you out of the dream. For many people, their minds are accustomed to waking up automatically when it realizes it is asleep.
      It should go away as you get more and more accustomed to leaving it alone.

      This also happened to me but it was about the second or third day trying to LD. It hasn't happened since then.
      LD Counter ( as of 07.29.07) = 1
