I usually look how I normally look although sometimes I have an afro, sometimes it's buzzed, sometimes it's spikey and blonde. But mostly I look normal.

In general, you look the way you imagine yourself. You can also alter this appearance.

It tends to be my hair and handss that look strange in my dreams. My hair is often a few inches long and spiked up, while my hands never have five fingers and usually look animated.

I normally don't see myself in lucids. The few times I did.. I looked like me only younger and with longer hair.

Likewise, I rarely see myself. When I have, it has always been a surprise. I seem to change. I've been female, I've been of African (rather than my real European) descent, I've been very young and very old... and I've had no body at all.

I rarely have a body, I'm usually more of an entity. I'm aware of my body, but don't see it.

I was thinking about posting a thread about this, i don't think i have ever seen myself in an ld. Once i did i became lucid went next door and looked through their window and a clone of me was ironing. (creepy)

Usually I look like myself, but last night I had a big (non-lucid) surprise; I found myself in the dressing room of some rich, society gal and tried on one of her gowns. A dark green number with discrete, black frill edging. I checked myself in a full length mirror and I was stunning! Looked like I was ready for the red carpet at the academy awards. Made several women who wandered in sick with jealousy.
Crossdressing has never been my thing and I've never had a mixed gender dream before.
Still trying to figure this one out!

I never have a body in my dreams. I have all the normal sensations that you would have in real life (walking on two legs, waving your arms, etc) its just that I cant see them. Though that makes it easier for me to shapeshift.

In a dream I had last week, I looked at myself in a mirror and I looked the same, but my eyes were bright blue! (they are a brownish-green in real life) And I remember being astonished by that in my dream, but I still didn'T realize I was dreaming.

In the one and only lucid dream i just had last night (), I just looked normal. I'll have to try some other things like shapshifting and the like next time, it sounds interesting!

I look the same. I either have glasses on (I don't wear them anymore), or I'm in my boxers.

I think it's difficult to notice oneself in dreams because normally it's so hard to unfocus from all the other events happening. I would think awareness of onself is probably a good way to induce lucids in the first place! Strangely enough, it seems easier to look notice onself in false awakenings... at least for me.

Shapeshifting is one of my favourite aspects of LDs; the ability to change oneself in any way possible! Of course, starting a dream already having a different form is MUCH easier than actually willing it to happen afterwards. At least it's been difficult for most people to accomplish, myself included.

do u guys think that maybe we take both our dream bodies and waking bodies for granted?

I would agree that we'd take our own form for granted in dreams. After all, how many times do you ever wonder if you're still the same in real life? Ever?
