After reading a little about LDs on wikipedia and some other sites, I decided to try WILD. I didn't even do it right but it worked on my first try! I didn't know you were supposed to wake up after a few hours of sleep and then try it. I tried it when I first went to bed. It was real quiet in the house that night and I had a color changing light on in my room. I got in a comfortable position and laid there with my eyes open, focusing on staying conscious. I was really tired and it didn't take long. |

No I think Lamneth kept her eyes open until she decided she was tired enough to sleep. Then did WILD, cause I don't think you can keep your eyes open. |

Whenever I close my eyes and I'm relaxed enough, I see something, but it's really hard to describe. First of all, when I close my eyes normally I don't see black but a mixture of black, blue, and red, but in static form. Like a really dark complex magic eye picture. However, when I'm relaxed enough I see a sort of light show without the colored hues. My field of vision get *ever so slightly brighter* and a circular curtain of darkness washes over, moving into a semi-random point, making everything black again. But, everything gets *ever so slightly brighter* as the curtain of darkness closes in on the point, and before it disappeares into itself, another curtain of darkness apears, washes over, repeat, repeat, etc. |

I've tried to WILD but i've had no success so far. I'm not giving up though! |

Do you know the terror of he who falls asleep? To the very toes he is terrified, Because the ground gives the way under him, And the dream begins... - Friedrich Nietzsche
That's how I WILD too. I keep my eyes open. I WILD using VILD. Most people argue, but VILD is still a form of WILD. I VILD with my eyes open until I get a good scene, and can start working out the details. After that I sort of let my eyes close when they feel like it, and from there I form myself into the dreamscene. |
