Hypnagogia. It happens during sleep onset, though sometimes you might be more aware of it than at other times. It can consist of audio hallucinations like yours, visual hallucinations including shadowy figures or pets in your bed or all the such. |

As the title says, after I've gone to bed but before I fall asleep, I'll often hear what appears to be random parts of a conversation. A few months ago, I wrote some down, because occasionally they'd be somewhat amusing. These are the sorts of things I might hear (though not these same things every time): |

I get it all the time, especially if I'm very tired. Sometimes it's voices of people I know, and sometimes just strange ones. |

Yours are happy... I don't hear voices, but I've heard creaking doors and footsteps |

This happens to me, most often when I'm rather tired during the day and decide to have a nap. It can be really amusing sometimes. I think about it, just kinda smile to myself, then go back into the same dozey state, and more of them will come. I like it. |

I get snippets of conversation as well. |

For me it depends on whether I was with people shortly before going to sleep. |
