      Psychedelics Enhancing Lucidity

Psychedelic means to make the mind visible, or it can basically be characterized as dreaming while awake. The most powerful known psychedelic to man, naturally occurs, in all humans, in something called the pineal gland. This gland is located in the middle of ones forehead, and is also known as the third eye. The psychedelic is released each night during REM stages of sleep, which is why we dream. Heavy doses are also released while you are dying (yeah its pretty much like we trip each night)

The name of this psychedelic is DMT, and it naturally occurs in us, as well as many plants, and animals, throughout the world.

From my experience, when the pineal gland is activated (your third eye opens from taking a psychedelic) I have much more lucid dreams.

The most effective psychedelic i have come across , for lucid dreaming is : Salvia Divinorum, a naturally occuring flower, which is also known as "The Dream Herb"

After smoking this particular substance, (which is Legal before i continue) I felt as though i was infact dreaming. And the after effect is simply the only aspect of the plant i like. After about 4 hours after you smoke it, your dreams will take on a new intricacy, and lucidity.

For me, when i started dreaming, i would start out in a forest (known as lady salvia's forest, for spiritual people) And from there on, i was always aware that i was dreaming.

The dreams weren't the same though, they were alot more detailed, and intricate. I could remember more of my surroundings after i woke up, and i was able to do whatever i wanted.

So for those may have trouble staying lucid should try it.... (its legal!!!)

I tried it, even though i was already an experienced lucid dreamer, but it propelled me into a new state of mind, i never had before salvia.

Isn't it more effective to chew it than to smoke it? I'm just going by what the Wikipedia tells me. Also, smoking anything is dangerous to your lungs.
      LD Counter (as of 07.25.07) = 5 (2 WILDs)
Short-term goal: Recall three full dreams a night for a full week.
Long-term goal: Have three LDs per week for one month.
Longer-term goal: Have one six-hour LD every night! (Shooting too high? We'll see.)
Waking life goal: Round up some NPSG equipment to study my own sleep patterns.

I've done some psychedelics SKA.. but it seems like you do a LOT. I was just wondering if you have plans to stop using once you're acheiving lucidity more regularly.. or do you plan on doing these for life?

I plan to use mushrooms throughout my whole life, because they help me spiritually connect, and find myself. (and because its less toxic than aspirin)
But even then, i only do in on occasion, when the time is right.

And Talkinghead, i've always been able to maintain lucidity in my dreams, psychedelics just make dreams alot more intricate, and easy to remember.

Psychedelics also help oraganise your mind and thoughts, so maybe thats why it's easier to remember your dreams from them.

My experience has been that psychdelics can definitely help you integrate your consicous/subconscious, especially if you them at the right time and with the right intentions, but I truly believe that at some point they start to disorganize your mind and each trip is killing many neurons that you will never get back. I think many people should try them to learn from the experience, but its not something I would do long term. Do what you like though.

Wow, i have never met anyone who shared my same opinion about mushrooms, they also help me spiritually connect with my surroundings and others. I to have tried salvia but not to help me with attaining lucidity. I would like to hear more of your opinions and how you would go about using salvia in this manner along with mushrooms?

Not everything is what it seems. I have had quite a few Psychedelic experiences and they were for mental exploration, pretty much people use Lucidity to explore the Mind's possibilities. I think and talk alot about Psychedelics because they raise questions, but it would probably make it seem as if I'm high on them 24/7 which is anything but the truth. Also I don't do them to achieve lucidity, but they might help. Mainly when I use them for dreaming purposes I wish to get very vivid dreams in which it is more likely to become lucid than low level awareness dreams. Besides as a child I've had many lucids natually and I still do very sporadically without any effort or intent so it's not like I seek help. I just find the Psychedelic mindstate an interresting one to interract with Dreaming.

Also psilocybin mushrooms, DMT, Mescaline cacti and salvia don't kill or harm any brain or body cells at all. This is easy to assume since so many people claim it. Go to www.erowid.org go to the pages of each of these individual drugs and check the "Health"-page of each of these to find out the truth of what these drugs do to you physically. And more specifically what they DON'T. There's alot of unfactual gossip surrounding drugs.

Also I don't see why a man smoking some Marijuana, doing magic mushrooms, San pedro cactus, Salvia and DMT still every now and than wouldn't be a responsible man able to live a successfull functional life. Do you?

This is true. And infact im going to be partaking in a spiritual journey, using mushrooms tonight. (haven't taken them in a year)
Responsible use of psychedelics is a key factor, and that's why they get a bad name,(use them to get high/stoned)
      mushrooms are a tool.
tooo many people out there taking too much, thinking they can handle it, then freak out and run to the hospital.

Anyways, wish me good luck on my new job (got hired today) and my journey into the divine.
