Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the idea of "lucid dreaming" and I was hoping I could get some tips for... "WILDs" I think they're called..?

Anyways, my question is: does complete silence help you attain lucidity? Because I've recently tried wearing earphones to bed so I can mute the sounds around me, and my concentration seems to go way up! It seems like it's easier for me to focus...

So would this help me attain lucidity?

Oh, and I have one more question... My brother-in-law told me about this technique to increase my dream recall. The technique is where you drink half a glass of water before going to bed, and you drink the other half when you wake up. He said that by drinking half of the water before sleeping, it would give me a time period to think about all day... Does it work?
