      Lucid Dreaming SIM -Under Construction-

Let me start off by saying why this has been posted here of all places (instead of art design or other) I do and will need input from LDers of all sorts to put this together.

Whats the basic objective of the game? Well, for me making it, its to bring lucid dreaming to the public's attention -as is-. Let them experience for themselves what can be accomplished in an LD.

Of course, for the person playing the game. The objective ends up being to basically become a lucid god. You start as a normal person and stumble upon lucid dreaming. You then work to improve your control.

I've made somewhat of an intro. Of course, it has placeholder graphics. In other words everything is ugly and is only there to show what should be there. I am likely working with Joe. (if he can avoid having a life) But I may need an artist if he manages to have one. I'm a programmer. Not an artist =/

Anyways, the intro can be found here

Heh, looking at it again a while after I last edited it, it looks like the worst intro in the history of flash.. XD. I'll still have to work on that...

      Anyways... the core system...

There will be one founding variable that will determine the groundwork for everything else. The only problem is, I don't know what to call it... Heres where you guys come in. I guess I should explain what it is exactly first. It is an overall measurement of what you can do. You raise it by successfully doing tasks/winning fights and it determines what abilities you are able to learn.I was thinking of calling it the control level or confidence level.. but those both aren't very good.

There will be 5 main special abilities that you can learn. Flying, telekinesis, destruction, manipulation (of people) and creation (make objects). Each can be leveled after you gain enough of the base level and each will have a mini-game to learn/level. (although manipulation would be learned by just manipulating)

The battle system will comprise of 3 different types of attacks. Each with 10 levels. They are physical, magical and mental. Physical has an upper hand on magical, magical > mental and mental > physical. Basically, the higher power level plus upper hand means a better chance of doing damage.

I want to make it decently large but I don't want it monstrous. The locations I have so far are:

A dojo - train physical attacks
A temple - train mental attacks
A bar - anyone whos played a SIM game before understands the importance of this
      Fight arena(s)

      Then I need (at least!):

Places to learn telekinesis, destruction and creation
      Somewhere to train magically
Assorted suggestions for other interesting locations.

So yeah... input is very appreciated. Don't this judge based on the intro. (perhaps I should take it down??) Its more of a story board and I made it in like 30 mins.. XD
