Jolting awake and WILD, a possible connection?

I've been pondering this for a couple of weeks now and thought I would get you guys input on it.

We have all experience the cases where we will almost be asleep and then suddenly, we will jerk and awaken.

I've noticed lately that in my case, the jerking awake is always preceded by an electric jolt.

Analyzing exactly what I feel, I've come to the conclusion that this is exactly the same thing I feel while doing WILD, except that in the case of WILD, they come at a rate of 2-3 a second and I am expecting them.

A couple of things to think about.

      1) Since you are not expecting the jolt, it startles you and wakes you up.

      2) If this is indeed sleep paralysis onset, could you train yourself to recognize this and begin WILD techniques?

I get these things about every other morning and have noticed that I can incude WILD much more easily on those mornings.

Could be a new way to WILD. Whaddaya think?
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

I never been "jerked" awake but I have felt something before and you can tell me if this is close. About 3 times I have been sleeping when out of no where, i would suddenly enter a WILD. Of course I would wake up a second or two before but right as I do I start feeling all the WILD stuff rush up at once. One time there was even a loud screeching sound, and then right after I started shaking and stuff and was in a dream within like 3 or 4 seconds. It goes really fast.

Since it goes so fast, and it doesn't stop, me been wide awake doesn't stop me from entering the WILD I just keep my eyes tightly closed and go right in. This is all in the middle of the night stuff to, when I am not trying to have a WILD just sleeping.

Yeah, I get these 'jolts', usually though I am already in a bit of a dream/HI, but what I am not sure of by jolts you mean you move a limb suddenly or you just feel some electrical shock.

After you get a jolt like that, Seeker, how aware do you feel? You see, I see everything in terms of awareness. For example, I have noticed that when I fall asleep outside the covers I wake up about 3-4 hours later feeling very aware. I don't have any groggy half asleep feeling. My mind is very awake. The first time that happened I had the most vivid and lucid dream I have had so far.

Perhaps when you get a jolt like that it might be an indication that your mind is too aware to loose consciousness as easily. If that is true then it might as well be an indication that it is a perfect time to try a WILD...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...
