Was I close?
Well last night I had a dream where I dont think I was lucid because I didnt know I was dreaming, but I knew I was in control? I was exercising some control over certain things but I had no idea I was dreaming, has anyone had this before or care to tell me what this is? Any comments really lol!

While it does sound like you were, a lucid dream when the dreamer is aware that they are dreaming while the dream is in progress.
So technically, you were not lucid but, to answer your question, it seems like you were extremely close.
A point: How vivid was the dream? Lucids are often accompanied with a heightened vividness of the surrounding landscape so that might also point to how close you were...

Il say it was slightly more vivid than a normal dream but it wasn't a huge difference but i did remember it easier!

Still no luck! I really want to LD so much but It just seems to escape my grasp's all the time!
