      The Flu/Cold and Lucid Dreams

Im really sick today, i got a really sore throat, a bad headache and a runny/congested nose.

I have trouble going to sleep because of my sore throat, so I will go to sleep and wake up every 5-10 minutes. Its horrible!!

However tonight I managed to have three Lucid Dreams all DILD, the last time I had a lucid dream was last month.

What I noticed is that despite my headache and sore throat, you don't feel them while dreaming. So I guess you can say it was a temporary relief.

I managed to get a Blow J^$ (You should know what that means)

It felt really real, but I got to excited and woke up

Ive also noticed the correlation between sore throats and lucid dreams... i regularly get sore throats, I used to go to the hospital/clinic/doctor every time and get antibiotics but I dont even bother now, I take some advil and if it goes away, it goes away, and if it doesnt, oh well, its not that bad for me i have learned to live with it. But yeah I had better dream recall and more lucidity while ailing from minor sicknesses.

Were they chained (DEILD)? I always wondered if the disrupted sleep during sickness could be used to induce lucidity.

      Hey there,

In my opinion the correlation really is quite simple.

Being ill tends to result in you sleeping lighter, less deep. Lucidity is strongly correlated to these. Sleeping deeper tends to make it both harder to get lucid and remember you dreams. It's not a direct effect of the illness, its a direct effect of your inability to sleep like you do normally.

Ya I've noticed you get really vivid and crazy dreams when sick too. The guy above makes a good point. But I think its affected by what you eat and ingest while your sick. Like drugs or cough syrup, even orange juice or somethin. Although, it could be the opposite, if you don eat or drink much, ur body chemistry changes and somethin happens, not a scientist but thats what im thinkin.
An Idea. A single idea from the human mind can build cities. An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules.

todays my third night of being sick and I've had two more lucid dreams. Now I know that there must be some kind of correlation between being sick and having lucid dreams.
