Sleep Paralysis, can you explain this?

Last night, I went to sleep at about 10 or 11pm, I woke up at 2:30am and could not sleep, I watched a movie till about 4:30, I was still not sleepy so I was just laying in bed waiting for 5am so I can jump in the shower, I closed my eyes, but I KNOW Im fully awake, I can hear everything, here and there I kept on opening them and turning to look at the time, I JUST WAS NOT SLEEPY, so I had my eyes closed when I decided Im just going to get up and start my day, but I realised I could not move, I could BARELY open my eyes, everything was fuzzy, I noticed a shadow of a person by my door, but I knew It was probably my mind creating it, it took me like 10minutes forcing myself to get up to finally be able to move, now I KNOW that's usually sleep paralysis, but can you kinda point me in the right direction, why did it happen while I WAS NOT SLEEPING?

Ivy, saying you were not sleeping can be innaccurate. No, I'm not saying you could have fallen asleep and not noticed. But well, in the first stages of sleep, you mind behaves more like a calm mind than a sleeping mind. In a WILD, for example, you can stay conscious for the whole of it, and get to a full Sleep Paralysis, even without believing you could have done it.

If you want to induce a lucid dream when at SP, close your eyes. Imagine yourself somewhere else (the beach, for example). Then try to walk around the beach. If you manage to, congrats: you're in your successful WILD.

LOL THANK, sounds fun and very helpful yeah, I just freaked out a little cause if it happens, it always happens while Im waking up, and since this is the firs time it happens while I WASNT sleepy.... also seeing those creepy half dream things or whatever you call them, while ur SP makes me forget that I can snap out of it, or go into a dream Im working on it, but I have nooo idea how to help me remember. OH and this time, I heard something, which was also new, it sounder like someone was VERY close to my ear and was desperately trying to say something
BUT THANKS FOR THAT! IT WAS USEFUL AND I REALLY APRECIATE IT

Hello Ivy, this sounds like something that has happened to me many times.
I'm lying there, my mind drifts into some fantasy world and then I snap back in, decide to get up and start my day, only to find that I cannot move!
(This always happens early in the morning.)

Yes, at first it can be quite shocking, and even scary, but you snap out of it and get up, wondering what just happened, recalling the experience and noticing the creepy things your mind can show you or your mind can make your ears sound out just like it was there.

If this was intentional, and you were performing a WILD, you would probably notice the transition into Sleep Paralysis, and therefore further exploit it to gain a lucid dream, yet this was unintentional, you didn't notice it.
It was sudden, you were creeped out, yes, I know that story!

However sleep deprivation is not the best way to go about a WILD, it can lead to tiredness during daytime and full on fatigue during the supposed peek hours of daytime activity.

This is not bad in your case, because you are lucky!
Many people try hard to get into Sleep Paralysis but to no avail, and here you did it without even the will to do so.

Set an alarm for this same time, only intend to perform a WILD, intend to get into a Lucid dream and follow the steps my friend Kromoh here listed.

      Good luck!

simple answer...you were asleep. It's some hybrid type of lucid that we don't discuss much. The 'Barrier Point' maybe, where you are never really asleep, and never really awake, but you feel that you are awake - the 'neither-here-nor-there'.
