I think you're trying much to hard. It's good to keep dreaming on your mind, but not so much that you can't sleep.

Why don't you take a break for a while and quit reading about dreaming. Try to get a few good nights sleep without thinking about it at all. Then start back slowly, maybe just reading a little bit right before you go to sleep. If that keeps you up, try something else.

You don't have to quite trying altogether, but you have to be able to sleep to dream, so you need to get your mind off of it for a little and get some rest.

Indeed it would seem like you are thinking too much about something that should not be thought of too much. If you think of something to the point that it starts to effect your sleeping patterns indeed you should cut pack on thinking about that particular thought. I find if you just let the thoughts come and go not only will you be able to sleep easier, but you may even find yourself having a LD.
