Thread: i need to know how you fly

do you have trouble flying? because you should check the dream control and tutorial sections?

but if not...I usually just dive forwards, at the ground, and pull up before i hit the ground....and keep swooping to gain momentum

Hm, this thread betrays your post. What I mean by that Dreammy, is that the thread title insinuates you are having trouble flying yourself therefore need to know how "we" fly. But...since you've mentioned what your favorite flying style is...I'm now led to believe you're just interested in knowing everyone else's. Assuming I'm correct...I'm going to go ahead and say Superman Style!!!

The search button would be your best friend I can think of about 3 flying topics currently active in the forums right now.

Holy crap, I've flown with the same jet pack type helicopter. Weird.

I use my arms as wings.

I'ts kind of funny because I've only had minimal success with LD's, but I have never had a problem flying. It was pretty easy for me in all of my lucids. I'm not sure how I do it, I just do it. Without thinking about it or anything, I just do it.

hey guys stop sending me stuff about i can't fly and need a flying tutorial. This is just something fun i do while LDing.

Is that jet-pack style helicopter like Inspector Gadgets by any chance.

Im a regular flyer, and I always have gotten wings. No idea how. This is what I wanna teach myself from now on.
They, the wings, always just grow out my back, like, Angel from X-men or I become something flying.

Check my sig for the link to the angel wings pill, The idea is you grow wings and then there is no i cant fly only wings=flying so there is no excuse why i cant.

Some times take of from ground.. Some times must jump a little..
Some times I take of from a small hill.. Etcetera..

Magic feather. Or stick, whatever's available near you if you can't make things appear...just hold it or stick it in your pocket, and it will give your mind the confidence that you can fly, so you don't start doubting it (which is the whole trouble with flying in LDs, you think you can't do it at some subconscious level, so you can't.) But having that little feather "justifies" that for your brain, thus eliminating the problem.

i fly in a lot of my dreams. it's just as common or more common than walking, and usually i think nothing of it. if i am soaring (feel the air rushing around me, hear it too), that's when i consider it flying. no wings, no jet packs. i spread my arms and they work as wings- i mean, not flap flap, but they determine the direction i'm going in. i don't fly horizontally. i fly vertically. my legs do whatever the air makes them do. once i'm in the air it's effortless. no physical effort. just the desire to reach a destination, and that gets me there.

sometimes i can't fly when i want to. i'd spread my arms and strain. pisses me off when i can't soar. i either remain on my tiptoe or hover there with m arms out. or when i want to change direction while flying, i stay hovering in the air in the same spot.

basically, if i want to FLY, the action, then i can't. if i want to BE at a certain DESTINATION, i DO fly.

i just got another LD dream and this time i was flying with a kinda like a hover broad and the awesome-as thing was that i was flying fast-as through a forest full of high trees. It was awesome and it got even better when 2 missile were chasing me.

Id have to say my favorite flying is when I turned the world upside down and I fell. Though would you consider that flying?

I like powering up DBZ style, and then take of. I only do that in non-lucids, in my lucids I always forget about that way, and try to fly with my mind instead. Stupid stupid

I've flown in all sorts of ways, my favorite way is to grow wings on my back though. I have more control, I'm faster and I can spin in all sorts of directions in the air

the least effective way, which I've learned from experience is to grow wings on your own arms. Actually, in lucid dreams I became too afraid to do us, afraid that my flapping action was being carried out on my sleeping body making me look retarded on my bed.

My trademark style is the Super Mario 64 Triple Jump.

I just thought of a cool way to fly: Balloon Fight style! Strap on a couple of cherry red balloons, flap your arms, and avoid the giant fish! XD
