According to an article on the internet 200 doctors all agreed that it is safe to take up to 200mg daily. I normally take it after a few hours sleep but sometimes i take it before bed, it stays in your system for 8 hours.

200 doctors might have agreed with that view, but what about the other million?

Not being cynical of the result as such, I hope it is true - I just find that not to be a reliable enough source to base our health on.

I was in Holland and Barrats the other day, and they had 100mg pills, I read the back and they said it was for girls....

Anyway - I will buy some I think just to give them a whirl, maybe next week.

I have 100mg pills which I take sometimes. I asked my doctor about taking that much and he said that it should be fine since vitamins A and B are water soluble, so anything my system doesn't absorb is flushed out.

Does B6 really improve your dreams and recollection?

Not so much, it is often taken to affect your dreams, they seem weird so I have heard..

They improve the vividness of them (for me anyway) which is the reason i take them. Without vividness lucid dreams are no where near as good.

You would probably be safe taking as much as 400mg every 24 hours. The lethal dosage is around 2,000mg, I believe. And if it only stays in your system for 8 hours, then 400 a day would be safe.

I've tried B6 for dreaming, but it did nothing for me.

I would advise to take no more than 50-200mg.
It is not clear exactly how B6 works, but some theories suggest REM-Rebound. If this is the case, than you need to find just the right dose for you, because taking more than the optimal dose will reduce REM and dreams. Another thing to note, if this is indeed REM-Rebound, than it means you should take it before bedtime, and not when doing WBTB.

Another thing, most people who used B6 reported that after a while of using it the effect went down. So I advice not to take it too much. I guess that once a week should be good enough to avoid building tolerance.
