      Unhappy Dc friend

I had a dream last night that i lived in my old house and a boy moved in next door and i was in my back garden and he was playing basketball. I was playing tennis on the computer but i wasn't on my computer (i don't expect anyone to understand) and i kept hitting the tennis ball into his garden by accident, he kept throwing it back over and i said to him i bet i am annoying you but he didn't answer. I recall we started talking and became friends and i thought he was really tidy, i can't recall anything else from this dream except he was from Bridgend in Wales.

I woke up and couldn't stop thinking about this person and how he wasn't real. After about an hour thinking about this and wrecking my chances of a lucid because i was unable to concentrate i fell back asleep and i dreamt of this boy again. This was a really long dream, he started my old school (i still went to school in this dream) and it felt like a whole school day. I remember having break and dinner time, and i also recall he and one of my school friends really didn't get on at all.

After these dreams it felt like i had made a really good friend and then lost him, it wasn't a good feeling. So what i am wondering has anyone experienced something similar?

Tonight i might go to that house where he lived and knock for him and see if he answers because he was really tidy. Another annoying thing is i can't fully recall what he looks like.

Ooh, that must be frustrating. Although I've never even spoken more than four sentences with a DC, I can imagine how that must feel. How lucid were you?
Jen was 13 years old. A fairly normal girl. She spent a lot of time online.
One day, she made a new friend. He liked the same bands, worried about the same subjects.
They decided to meet at the local mall. She went. So did he.
Only he wasn't in junior high.
HE WAS A 1500 LB GRIZZLY BEAR.
1 in 5 children online get eaten by wild bears. And you didn't even know bears could type.

I wasn't lucid. Thats what made it more frustrating because i was unaware he was a creation of my mind.

I have a couple of dream friends, one of whom I feel very close to. I've only ever met her in lucids, and I see her about once a month, but usually only for a very short visit.

It helps to give them a name; mine told me her name was "Suella." It's always comforting whenever I see her, but she's not a real person, so I try not to feel sad when she goes.

I hope you get another visit!

I HAVE!!! I had a lucid dream a few months ago I was with a group of completely fictional people and I really had a strong bond with them. We went around town and did all sorts of things together. I remember we were sat by the street watching heavy rockers on their way to a festival, but their choppers had broken and they were trying to push them up the hill. It was hilarious and we all laughed at it. Yeah I was gutted when I woke up. Your dream characters seem SO real, it's creepy.

PS. It WAS a lucid dream but it was so good that's all I wanted to do and it lasted a while.

I had a lucid dream before (the longest lucid i have had) where i was going around with this gang of people in this car having a laugh (mostly annoying dream characters). It felt about 6 hours we were doing this for and because it was such a long lucid we really bonded and when i woke up i was gutted knowing that i won't see them again, (unless i summon them in a lucid dream) but yeh they do seem very real.

If the theory is true about dream characters being aspects of your personality then it would explain how easy it is to bond with them.
