"Real" friends in your lucid dreams??

      Hey guys!!

I'm new here and fairly new at LD, but I was wondering if this was possible: could you and a friend have an LD the same night and kind of 'meet up' in the dream world? And then the next day be like, "Hey, that was really fun last night." "Yeah, quite." lol I don't know. I apologize if this has been discussed somewhere else.. I actually remember seeing a thread like this somewhere but haven't found it.

      you mean "Shared Dreams" .

Some say it is possibly, my personal opinion is that its not.... Atleast not in the way most people think about it, the whole "spiritual" bullcrap.

I have had a shared dream recently: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4488

Of course, it could have been coincidental.. there is no explanation for it, so theorising is in order. In the case of my shared dream, I believed it to be the very close relationship and love with my ruby (my gf).

      *Shrugs*

I don't think I've had a shared dream, though it could be possible, since I don't usually discuss my dreams with my friends. *shrugs* I told some friends about sharing dreams, but they don't think it could happen. I'd like to think it's true, and I want to be able to share a dream with them to prove it if it is real.

most annoying kind of dream ive had is one where im with a bunch of people, i click that i am dream and i assume the other people are sharing my dream, i talk with them for like the whole dream about how weird it is in the dream world and how we all will remember it when we wake up.
then i wake up and talk to them and they are like 'ah yeah we were in the same dream' and its all craziness as we compare details and everyone is amazed.

then i wake up for real and im way to embarrased to ask the real people if they drempt it.

however once a mate who i had been talking to about LDs had a dream where i asked him if he was dreaming, sounds like me

personaly i am sceptical but belive it might be possible if a major conection is between the two people, e.g. bf/gf or maybe best friend

Well, as I have said before, you probably won't believe in the possibility of sharing dreams till you yourself experience one.

I know I did not truly believe in the possibility myself till it happened, so.. at least give it the margin of possibility instead of completely abolishing it.

I just remembered that a friend of mine had a shared dream with her boyfriend. He was this giant walking down the street in one direction and she was driving a tiny beetle in the other. They waved when they passed eachother. LOL There's just something about very short, simple dreams that make them funny.

As i said i am sceptical- BUT - belive it could happen if there is a bond between the people.

When i see topics on various forums about people planning to meet people i never involve myself because these are people who have never met each other that are trying to share a dream

But i would LOVE to be proven wrong.

I've had a shared dream with about 5 other people at the same time when I was about 12. I had four friends over for the night because it was my birthday or something. We woke up, and everyone explained part of the same dream. I thought this was just because we have had the same events happen to us in the past day or two (since we were all together). But then I went and asked the other kid about it (who wasn't with us), and he described the same exact dream.

Nobody was lucid, so we really can't tell if it was just some really fucked up coinsidence.

I think all of this stuff is much easier for kids, for one reason or another. Ah, to be little again. But then again, all I wanted to do as a kid was grow up.
