      Dream Journal?

Where should I keep a dream journal? I don't feel comfortable keeping all of my dreams - my inner self, to be exact - in a nice little package to be read by any of my family. However, I can't say its convenient to keep a txt file on my computer for school days (eg. "Hang on mom, I'm busy writing down my dreams, so would you please wait a second?). Should I really keep a dream journal? I keep hearing about how important it is for dream recall.

A dream journal is really quite important for Dream Recall, however you don't need to put down the whole dream at once or rush to get every last bit down. If your strapped for time, jot down a few key details, quick and short notes about the dream and expand on them later in the day when you have more time.

I much prefer the digital dream journal. I have two of them here (in my signature.) Lots of times I have sexual encounters or other things that I may not want others to know about. I still write down the dreams, but do it using metaphors and riddles that only I would understand. That way I know what happened, but no one else does.
