      Scary Lucid Dreams Help!

I'm probably lucid in about half my dreams and I remember about 1 dream a day. I usually have lucid dreams where my mom looks evil, or there's a scary person in my house that torturing me sort of. For example my dream: It's two oclock in the morning and I am calling my mom because she's not home. She finally shows up in a car and she looks like a witch (really scary) with mucus dripping off her nose etc. I hate these dreams and I always try and wake up and curl up in a ball. Everyone says lucid dreams are good because you know nothing bad can happen to you. There not that way for me because i am still terrified and want to wake up.
Also a lot of times it gets really bad where I jump out the window of my apartment to wake up. Can someone please help me stop having these bad dreams, so I can have good lucid dreams? Also I usually feel like I some amount of control in my lucid dreams, like jumping out of my window etc...

      Please help! also I'm only 14 =/.

      I suggest something violent

A Witch you say? Seems to me you have many hidden fears dwelling deep inside your mind. You must confront these, confront the Witch. It's not really your 'Mum', so imagine you have a revolver filled with Silver Bullets, or whatever ammo you prefer.

I would then shoot her, bury the body out in the desert, and plant a cross atop the mound. Or just use a plasma rifle, my dream weapon of choice, because it just vaporizes them into ash, little clean up required!

Sorry to be violent and graphic, I like to kill almost everything in my dreams that mess with me.

Of course some enitites are stronger than others, but it's "just a dream" right? Once you get past that helpless "paralyzed" feeling and can access your mind better, it becomes easier to fight back. Trust me, kicking arse on dream baddies is teh fun !!! But if she asks you to clean up your room, your f**ked.

Be lucky you don't have worse monsters in your dreams

I have some crazy shizzle in my dreams, man, I usually need a very large arsenal ranging from rockets to tanks. Try fighting off an army of were-zombies dressed like the artist formerly known as Prince. Those bastards won't stay down, dude...

you come to a lucid dreaming forum, to tell people they shouldnt ld? Weird.

as for advice, just know that nothing can happen too you. If you are in a place you dont want to be, teleport out of there. If that doesnt work, pull the big gun out of your pocket. If there are too many for one gun, call up your army from the backyard. You are in charge of everything so if you dont like it, change it. Besides dreams seem to change really fast. If you dont feed the fear then it usually goes away.

      Cool Embrace it...

This is probably the last thing you want to hear. (Even though I just posted something about dreams not being of the mind - sometimes they are...). But it/she might be part of your (un/)subconsciousness. Talk to her and if she is part of you -- a part of you that u need to 'reconcile' or understand/etc. before she stops being part of your dreams -- then the dreams will go away. There is a reason it's still there - it might be trying to teach you something or bring up an issue with yourself you need to understand. Talk to her or any nightmare character. "Who are you?" "What do you represent?" I've heard that if you hug a 'monster' in your dream an accept (that part of you) - they dissolve...

If you don't understand this, just try and do it and it will make sense...
"What if I were to tell u that you can take control...of all of this? Look at all these people. Seems as though they're just all chatting away? Nothing to do with u. And yet., maybe they're only here because u wanted them to. U are their god. U can make them obey u or even destroy u."

Naturally_Lucid has an interesting idea...I played with the shadow figure idea once in a lucid long ago, and it turned out my (deliberately summoned) shadow figure was a witch too, but not my mother.

You're lucky that your nightmares are lucid, 'cause you can at least get yourself out of the pickles consciously. I've often thought of my own lucid nightmares as mixed blessings like that. I don't have to wait 'til I wake up to realize it's just a dream.

When I was 13, I used to have nightmares of robberies followed by false awakenings...

Maybe you can try incubating better dreams. "I will kick the ass of whatever scares me tonight. I will become a superhero!" And visualize it. I've had recent experience suggesting that dream incubation really works, if you really want to make it work.

No dream goals at the moment...just flying and letting stuff happen is kinda fun, and it's hard to motivate myself to try LDing lately.

Well, it seems like you may just not have complete control in your LDs. You are going along with the LD rather than the LD going along with you. What that means is you want to choose the setting and all that in your LD. From personal experience, I can say that the only way to control lucid dreams is to believe. you need to actually believe that what you want to happen will happen

Unfortunatly, I have a lot of experience with nightmares, andI agree with Naturally Lucid. What issue does this nightmare represent? What can it teach you? Once you learn what you need to, then you will find it so much easier to fight back or end the dream. Good Luck.
