Big question

How long can lucid dreams actually last? I really want to no this so when i have another one i no if i have enogh time to do most of the things i want to. I have another one. Can some1 dream for the whole night, not just dream for 1 minute then wake up the next day.

I have a friend who says like 2 hours, but I'm not quite sure how accurate that is. My longest is about 13 minutes or something.

Hey there, How long do lucid dreams usually last? You'll find this is highly variable, both from person to person and from dream to dream for even a single person. I've had lucid dreams that lasted mere heartbeats, and I've had lucid dreams that lasted over an hour. Most of my lucid dreams, on average, I would guess last about 20-30 minutes, with a good amount of exception to that rule As for your second question. Certain more recent neurological and neuroanalytical insighs suggest that we ALL dream ALL night We have both dreams during REM sleep, and dreams during NREM sleep (called NREM dreams, imaginatively enough ). NREM dreams tend to be a lot harder to remember though, as they are usually less visual and more fleeting, so it often seems as though we only dreams during certain parts of the night (most typically associated with prolonged REM sleep, where dreamrecall seems to be the easiest). Thats a tricky question because dream time is different than normal time. If your mind and body rely heavily on normal time then i would say your dreams would most likely mimic normal time, but if you realize that time was something created by man in the first place the possibilities could be endless. There have been accounts where a 30 minute dream felt like days or maybe even weeks. It all depends on how well you can control your dreamworld. To answer your other question I would say technically you do have a dream which lasts the whole night but most of the nights dreaming happens in the REM stage of sleep. it is possible to dream between these REM stages but most likely you are in too deep a sleep to even remember them. There is still much to discover about dreaming i think and asking questions is good but the only way to really find them out is to go explore

Mine always seem to end within a minute of me realizing I'm dreaming Hopefully that will get better with time and practice.

Our dreams are dependent upon objective, physical laws. Therefore, the actual dream cannot exceed a certain length based upon those laws. However, dreams themselves are mental constructs, a subjective, personal reality. Therefore, our perception of that same length of time can be altered. This is a process known as time incubation. Time incubation, like any dream task, can be achieved multiple ways. The simplest that I can offer is the use of a portal. 01: Summon a portal one way or another. 02. I am also wondering if you can have a very long adventure in a dream that lasts for like 3 hours (dream time) Like a whole episode not just a short scene. I'm wondering this bc it would be really cool if you could have A really long adventure with an actuall beginning middle and end, and character relationships and stuff. If it is possible i want to learn how to prolong my dreams for a long period of time

Mine usually last five minutes or so

The problem with your question is that there isnt a blunt answer. Not to say its a bad question, it is just that no 2 people are alike. It depends on the indivual really. My first LD was over 20 minutes long. Some people have them for hours, others never break more than a couple minutes. In the end, my opinion is that confidence is key. As long as you realize the world your in is in your control you should be able to make it last almost as long as you like.
