      where are all the DC's??

hey guys, I've been having good luck with getting spontanous LD's lately but often times I find that I'm in a virtually empty dreamscape which is very mundane...i.e. I find myself walking around an empty house or somewhere indoors that seems very real. sometimes I run into a few DCs and sometimes it's totally empty. any tips on getting more DCs to appear or to make the surroundings a little more exciting? i've tried willing things into existence but that doesn't seem to work, usually I just walk around until I find a DC but even then there's not very many of them.

Don't know exactly how to describe how I do it, but I can usually make DC appear at will. If it seems that I can't "spawn" one right in front of me, I visualise the dream character, and think that he/she will appear in my dream by walking through a door, or arriving around the corner etc.

I usually go to a public area like a town or in shop, pub, etc and then dream characters appear because i expect them too.

Lol, the last time I did that, an earthquake happened and everyone disappeared (died?) I lost lucidity afterwards.

I once filled a mountain with DCs, it was kinda fun, I can't remember exactly how I did it, but I think that I just visualized the DC in a certain place, it may depend in the kind of dream though.

Pull off some summon jutsu. That always works.

I have the exact same problem as you! In my last dream, I was on a field trip with several other people, but once I became lucid after doing the nose-pinch RC, everyone disappeared! I then flew across the landscape, but there was nothing but trees and empty buildings! I even tried summoning dream characters but not even that worked!
Lucid dreams don't seem as exciting without dream characters. They seem lonely and empty.

      Do a reality check.

      Heh.

I call this "Chernobyl syndrome." I've had entire dreams of just walking around in a ghost town with papers scattered on the floor and weathered buildings.
My dreams fit into two categories: one being where I'm in a populated area and DC's pop out of nowhere (every LD I've had so far). The other is utterly depressing and empty, as I described above. I never really have to "make" people appear, and just assume that they'll be there.

Kind of makes you not want to be the last man on earth.

One fun way to change the scene is just jump through a window. I haven't tried it, but usually any transition between two different areas can help you summon anything.

Imagine that when you land on the other side, there are DCs looking at you in awe.

When I WILD the dream takes place in my house and about half the time I am alone. I get outside and I'm still alone. I'm not a good summoner so once a dream starts out with me alone usually it stays that way.

DILDs are much more enjoyable. I usually have more fun in those since I'm already immersed in the dream scape. Mirrors have yielded some interesting results in my dreams. Maybe you can step through a mirror and emerge into an entirely populated new dream scape.
