What is the longest LD, who has them the most oftern?

Can anyone tell me how oftern they have LD's and how long they can make them last.

There is no use in putting so much effort into this if it is impossible to have a lucid dream longer than a fe minutes.....

are they just random freak events, or it is possible to have them consitently and be in full control and aware for a fairly long time.

I would like any experienced Lucid dreamers thoughts about what is possible....

I have ld's about every other day. I can make mine last on average about six minutes which is the equivalent of two hours in dreams (dream time is 20 times faster than normal time).

My longest ld was ten minutes which is equal to 200 hours or a little over a week in dreams. Kee trying because the results are worth it!

I have about 3-4 LDs a week, depending on my effort and time I spend sleeping.

LDs greatly vary in intensity and length.

So far my longest one lasted 49 minutes.

Most are about 3-5 min long.

If you put a lot of effort into it, you would be able to fully control your dreams and have them very often with high degree of lucidity Then there's no limit to things you can experience.

Really? Lucky you! My LDs tend to run in realtime. I think about an hour of realtime is about the best I've been able to pull off.

thanks guys. I have had a few lucid dreams. I'd say none over 5 minutes over a long time span. I didn't know wether it was possible to have 1 or 2 hours where you are lucid, because I havn't been able to do it.

I'll keep trying though. Since I started getting back into this I havn't had one yet. But I know I can have them so I'm a little bit better off than a begginer because I've had a little experience flying and stuff.

My eventual goal is to be able to control my dreams and be lucid for a few hours or as long as the dream goes. I have certain experiments I want to try with it.

So, all of you experienced ones out there, did you start off not being able to have them? Or did you decide to try LDing one day and have one that same night?

Even though I knew about them, I had my first one by accident

I knew about lucid dreams for 3 months, but knew nothing of techniques.

Then I discovered this site and spent about a week practicing...

Well, my first LD + false awakening happened after Salvia trip...

had them pretty often since then

That would be like forgetting your first love . I actually attempted to induce and study lucid dreams before I even knew what they were and that I wasn't some freak who could become aware in their dreams.

My longest one felt like 4 hours in dream time... and was an accidental one.

I've had dreams for a long time before I even knew the details of what they were called, etc.
But I had my first intentionally induced lucid the second night after I wanted to... unfortunately spent the whole dream unsuccessfully trying to prove it really *was* a dream (even though I was reasonably sure)

Most of my DILD induced lucid dreams aren't that long though... between a minute and 15 minutes of dream time usually. Very annoying.
My WILD was about 20 minutes of dream time I guess.

I had my first real lucid dream the same night I found Dream Views. I call it my first real one because after finding the site and reading up more on it I realized that I have been having them all my life I just did not know what it was. Most at that time were very low lucidity. So I could yes to both of your questions. Yes I have always had them but I really started having them when I decided to learn about LD's. Anyway that was a long winded answer to your questions so I will just stop right here.

Oh and about how long my LD's last. I have never experimented with it. So I have no idea how long they last in real time, but they tend to last hours in dream time.

      45 minutes

Today I had one that lasted about 45 minutes(how long it felt anyways)But in the past they've only lasted 5 minutes, tops. This morning was the best it's ever worked for me, it was incredible. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back. I hate waking up cause everything's so much better in my dreams!
