Dream Recall gets in the way of my chances for lucidity!!

Looking at my dream journal online, and from personal experience, I can safely say it's one or the other.

Last week, and for a week, I've tried WBTB + MILD every night. I had no dream recall, and no lucids either.

Then I slept for one night, and had full dream recall.

Then for the past few nights, I've been trying MILD (which didn't work too well, I woke up continuously only one night), with no lucids either. I had no dream recall either.

But last night, I just wanted to sleep, and did nothing to get lucid, no WILD, WBTB or anything, but I had full dream recall

      It's weird!!

I either have the choice to get lucid (which i'm still working on), or have dream recall..

It's just one or the other!

Oh, and I'd like to thank mylucidworld, he's helped me alot

      LDs: 3

      DILD(s) = 3

Third one was really short and unstable

nah, you have drawn incorrect conclusions.

for a start...you dont have to wake up continually throughout the night for MILD. Its just as effective with only 1 awakening for WBTB

And your drop in recall is most likely caused by

1- interupting regular sleep schedules (ie...lots of awakenings leaves you tired and highly unmotivated to write in your Dreamjournal)

2- stress of "trying to get lucid"

3- wake back to bed attempts EVERY night are never a good idea. (especially if you failed the previous night...) because you follow a low quality night sleep...with another...

as soon as you sleep the whole way through, its no surprise that you saw a recall increase

      Quality LD's: 16

That might be how you chose to recall it...
      Why? ...
I know who I am, as I become...

      Hmm I suppose you're right.

At the moment, I'm just working on sleeping hehe

No attempts until tomorrow night again
