weird dreams whilst at high altitude?

Anyone have weird dreams at high altitude? I went climbing in the Himalayas a few years ago and as we got higher the dreams got weirder. The highest we climbed was 5500m to the Baralacha La pass in Spiti. My climbing buddy woke me the night we spent on the pass, because I was snogging his shoulder! He was very understanding as he was having intense dreams too. Later that night he woke me in a panic because he couldnt get out of the tent and wanted a pee - I had to point out that the zip was at the other end. We were kinda hallucinating a bit during the day too - once spending an hour planning how to approach a 10m ice cliff 1km away. We got nearer very quickly and realised it was only 100m away and 1m high. Is this oxygen deprivation?

I personally have not experienced such a thing but I could see how a lack of oxygen may affect your dreams. Someone who lives in a high altitude would not have the same experiences since their body is acclimated to the lower oxygen levels. It would be interesting to hear if anyone else has had this experience.

BTW, your climbing trip sounded awesome!!!
