      Something crazy with color pools.

I don't really know how to explain this but I often try to and do WILD's pretty much 95% of the time, and I see a purple lava lamp bubbly fluid form in the center of my minds eye.

Well a couple days ago that changes into a light blue/dark shiny blue color and also the shape changed into a bar like shape instead of a fountain like with the purple colors from before.

Any ideas why the sudden change?

      Thanks

My first WILD I saw a green retangular light when my eyes were closed, and I just concentrated on it until I started dreaming. Other times I have seen white lights or other images, it is almost always different. Your mind is just creating different images.

Sounds like the imagery evolved a bit.
Usually that means you've taken a step closer to actually entering a lucid dream. My HI goes from random little whisps of coloured light to elaborate geometric designs into sudden objects and then comes a dream scene.

I concur completely with Vex, by my experience when trying to WILD through HI.

I star with almost ghost-like vaporous shapes, in whites and different colors, moving around. Then they become mesh-like, or even lacy. At that point full 3d images will begin forming, followed by a full scene.

That's when I usually jolt myself right out of it.

Do you mean that's when you realize you're dreaming and not lucid and jolt awake to start over again?

If so I do that a lot too.

      Yep - jolt awake.

I've almost abandoned that approach to WILD in favor of Clairity's method, which doesn't really involve HI at all. The last half-dozen or so lucids I've had have been through that method. It seems quite reliable, but it always leaves me wherever I am, which is usually in my dark, boring living room if I've done WBTB. Then I have to go fly somewhere or spin myself somewhere or whatever.

I still really enjoy experiencing the 3d HI though, so I still try it from time to time.

I've been meaning to give Clairity's WILD method a try too. I'm a creature of habit though and tend to stick to the things that work for me, even if they aren't as productive as they could be.

Perhaps a new year's resolution will to switch methods. Clairity does have some amazing lucid dreams and if it works for you too... I'm sold.
