      An Opposite Technique

This may have been mentioned before, but my "reality check" is quite the opposite of most people. Instead of constantly doing reality checks in the real world, I never do them.

For some reason, when I'm dreaming I usually think "am I dreaming" and I know as soon as I do I must be because I never question it in the real world.

You're fortunate in that you usually question yourself when you're dreaming (most don't).

Same goes for me, once I get the thought that I'm in a dream, that's when lucidity comes in. I'd prefer things that way instead of performing RC in real life

I only perform an RC in real life if I see something really weird, Ive tried doing RCs periodically but I just don't do them in my dreams

Everything makes sense once you stop thinking about it

I do RCs if I notice something strange, or I recognise something that is common for me in dreams. Hopefully, if this becomes habit I will notice that in my dreams and realise I'm dreaming.

Same here. I don't think of it as opposite though. More as, I notice the dream state. It feels different from real life.
Jen was 13 years old. A fairly normal girl. She spent a lot of time online.
One day, she made a new friend. He liked the same bands, worried about the same subjects.
They decided to meet at the local mall. She went. So did he.
Only he wasn't in junior high.
HE WAS A 1500 LB GRIZZLY BEAR.
1 in 5 children online get eaten by wild bears. And you didn't even know bears could type.

A lot of the more experienced DILD people don't need reality checks. I always just know that I'm dreaming when I become lucid, I can't remember the last tim I did a reality check.

i have practiced RC's in real life but have never used them in the dream world. I just sort of realize I'm dreaming, without even asking ''am i dreaming?'' it just happens
