      Yay!

Had my first successful WILD! It was kind of like a Wake Initiated Dream Induced Lucid Dream (WI-DILD) though. I fell asleep while trying to WILD and drempt that I was trying to WILD, then this hand grabbed me down and into a lucid dream! I was just standing there admiring my lucid bedroom when BOOM!, my eyes opened in RL. . . It was really annoying because I was seeing with both my real eyes and dream eyes. By exerting so much effort into closing my real eyes I lost lucidity and woke up about five seconds after loosing it. What can I do to fix this?

      Congratulations on your lucid dream!

Usually the cause of waking up is excitation. You were probably so excited to be lucid that it woke you up. Next time, try to calm yourself as soon as you become lucid. You can also try to stabilize the dream, by feeling objects around you.

Hey thanks, I'll try to keep calm next time. The thing is though, I was excited but not overly excited. The main problem was that my eyes flew open in real life. What would cause that?

What time was it when you woke up in real life? Sometimes you become lucid right at the end of a dream, when it's naturally ending anyway. That would explain why your eyes opened - you were already in the process of waking up when you became lucid.
